For all those claiming that their recipe is an old family secret or have successfully messed around in the kitchen on one summer afternoon, it is now your chance to show off your cooking skills on Saturday, 
September 20th at Fat Tuesday in Coconut Grove’s Great Chili Cookoff hosted by CocoWalk.
At noon until 6, restaurants and individuals will be slaving away over hot stoves to prove to the world their chili has what it takes to be America’s Next Top Entre. Residents in the Coconut Grove communities are encouraged to show up, if not for the chili, for the live entertainment, giveaways, beer specials, kids activities, a waiter’s race, and a variety of other planned events.
Kristi House, Miami-Dade’s Children’s Advocacy Center responsible for helping children and their families that have fallen victim to sexual abuse, will receive a portion of the proceeds from this wonderful event.
